scripting is how the npc's move in ef, but it does a lot more than that. The source code of EF basically runs and describes everything, the guns and specifics of the weapons, how you move, the levels, computer generated enemies, everything that the game runs. so if you decide to take a crack at scripting be carefull what you do, cuz u just may completely ruin EF stick out tongue

a little lesson for you stick out tongue because im the kind of person who tries to find out how things work, i learned how to make NPC's shoot at you! you just have to find the script you want. use pakscape to open PAK0 1 2 3... until you find a folder inside one called scripts it should have them all in .txt so you can look at them and see what they do. then, when you find one you like you go to the NPC in the map, press N to bring up the entity window then pick what you want to activate the script with the keys like "spawnscript" then pick a script. if you want an enemy to attack, i usually use "borg1/vengeance" or "common/security" both of these make NPC's attack you, but i tihnk the borg one makes them stop moving if they cant see you properly. i might upload the .txt files so you guys can use the origionals without having to make your own big grin
