We've seen screenshot previews of this for weeks, but EF2 modding god Chrissstrahl today brings us a work in progress version of Co-op Alien, the latest Co-op mission. It is fully playable, but the mission isn't yet complete. Nevertheless, a nice Christmas present for the remaining EF2 players!

	Readme File: FOR THE GAME: STAR TREK ELITE FORCE II GAME VERSION: All official releases, except the demo! CLASSIFICATION: Map / Level MODUS: Single-/Multi-Player CREATOR: Chrissstrahl VERSION: WorkInProgress New Models: Yes DESCRIPTION :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: This is a Custom Co-op Mission, created for the HaZardModding Co-op Mod. This is a preview level, it does not feature a full co-op mission, but it is playable. This is a little Christmas Gift for all the remaining EF2 players. REQUIREMENTS :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: You need the HaZardModding Co-Op Mod in version 5.0 or above, IF you want to start a server or play the map in Single-player. You do not need the Co-op Mod if you do join a Server only. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: 1. Shut-down all running instances of the game. 2. Delete old versions of this Map, if you have any. 3. Copy the file "coop_alien.pk3" as it is into your 'base' folder. WHAT IS THE 'BASE' FOLDER :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: The Elite Force II 'base' folder is located within the Game directory, you need to go to the location you have installed the game Star Trek Elite Force II. EXAMPLE: c:gamesactivisionEF2base In this folder there are more files with the extension .pk3, also the file 'pak0.pk3' if you can't find your base folder simply search for the file 'pak0.pk3' using your Operating System it's file search. HOW TO PLAY :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: You can start H'atoria at the Start Server Menu, or load the map via game console. Command for Single-player: g_gametype 0;map coop_alien Command for Multi-player: g_gametype 1;map coop_alien HOW TO OPEN THE GAME CONSOLE :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: To open up the game console you need the have a full copy of ST:EF2, this will not work with the demo. This level was fun! I really like the intro cinematic. The level detail, lighting, and scripting are all done well. There were some very creative things like the room with the ark launcher in it. I also really like the scripting for the shade on the window in the tower. I had fun watching it go up and down big grin

. A few things I noticed was that there was something (like clipping) near the ark launcher that was blocking me. Also the latter at the end of the tram was a little buggy. And the door at the end didn't work properly but thats probably because it was at the end of the level. So far this is a really fun level and I am looking forward to the rest! big grin
