This is Absynthe map submition for the map contest.

Quite good CTF map.

Readme File:
INSTALLATION

Extract the ZIP file and put the PK3 file into the BaseEF folder inside your
Star Trek Voyager Elite Force folder. If you followed a default install the full path
will be:

C:\\Program Files\\Raven\\Star Trek Voyager Elite Force\\BaseEf


* Playing Tips *

- passing through the energy beam in the middle causes damage. Sometimes alot,
sometimes a little. What is certain, is that if you press any movement key while
flying through the beam you are more likely to suffer a greater amount of damage
than if you don\'t.

- the odd dark tunnels that connect the armory altar to the lower access tunnel is
intended for two purposes. One, an alternate route to the lower access tunnel
though you need to crouch to move your way through it. Two, a murder hole. If you aim
your grenade launcher correctly you can litter the lower tunnel with grenades.

There is no real story for this map other than the fact that its my submission to the
EFFiles.com Holodeck5 (www.3dactionplanet.com/eliteforce) CTF mapping competition.

* MAP Information *

New Textures : Bunch of new shaders and a few textures scrapped together.

* Construction *

Base : None
Construction Time : About a month and a half. Having had two really great games
coming out during my dev time lost me about 2-3 weeks. :-)
Build programs : Standard GDK tools v1.2
BSP Time : 50 secs
VIS Time : 87 secs (fullvis)
LIGHT Time : 332 secs (lightextra)
Compile machine : Dual Athlon MP 1500+
Editor used : EFRadiant
Other programs : UltraEdit (text editor), PaintShop Pro (textures)
Known Bugs : Bots sometimes get stuck on ramps leading to flag
inside the base. I don\'t know why. Managed some
optimization that has reduced it from a certainty
to the occasional.

Ok people, just trying to get my idea out. I would like to see the Virtual Voyager thing mod. I just watched "Year Of Hell" And Voyager got really messed up. What I was thinking is that someone could mod the Virtual Voyager thing to look like its taken a good beatn, like that episode. I tried to do it, but I'm no modder. I think It would be interesting map to play in. Imagine, Voyager, corridors all messed up, the bridge barely usable, enginerring nearly gone, no nights but the glow of the warp core. Consoles blinking. The mess hall as the new sickbay. I can just imagine it now. Anyways, I'd like to get some feedback, so e-mail me at:

I think what would be cool, is to do Virtual Voyager, except, this is when the Kazon takes over. Think about it. Kazon, instead of starfleet. All the same features, EXCEPT, for 2 other features. 1.You can fire torpedos and phasers at Tuvok's station. 2.Shoot the warpcore enough, AND THE SHIP BLOWS 2 BITS!!!! So, what do you think? Mmmmmm?

... but whenever I play solo match with bots on this map I always get an illegible server error(?) about 5-10 secs into gameplay.

This map has bot support. In fact, it was tested quite a bit to ensure that the bots would actually move around the map and could play it on their own. --Absynthe

Great maps for CTF, but has no Photon. EF is all about the Photon.

We have 2 new people at effiles that were meant to effictively review items... and it really isn't working well. The past few maps have had 3 sentences at most, and a score if even lucky, and no screenshots frown

I'm pretty sure this isn't Gez since he usually leaves his name at the end of reviews, but please, im not asking for much except more indepth reviews. I want an idea of the map, not a readme and a screenshot that can't be enlarged.

BTW, i know this is 2002, which is even worse, considering it is a feature map with no review. How is it a feature map with a lackluster review. 2002 or not, this is sad
