By popular demand...ctf_becks.

This map is almost the same as ctf_2becks, thus they have the same review with some small corrections.

This is an interesting map. The mapper is drawing his inspiration from Becks beer. The map is fairly simple in design and the brushes are filled with textures of...yes, that's right, Becks beer. The map is not that bad, especially if you like beer, but it's not that great either. Everything is more or less placed in square blocks. The pools of water are nicely done, they have been given sort of a 'gold' color so it seems like you are actually swimming in a pool of beer. I hope the author realized some people get drunk easily wink
After looking thoroughly for about 15 minutes I found some secret rooms. There is not much to do in those rooms so they seem a bit redundant.
There is one error in the console, so compared to other maps that is not alot. It shouldn't have been that hard to fix it though. In my opinion one error is one too many smile The map lighting is a bit bright. Look at the screenshots if you want to see what it's like.

I would like to extend my review, but the truth is, there isn't anything more to say about this map. Download it if you like.

A Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force 1 map by >DG<BeerBuzz

Installation instructions - extract the .pk3 file to your gamedir/baseef folder.

This map is a ctf map but works very well for other mods such
as gladiator, ffa, or freeze tag. There are plenty of weapons, ammo, health, and shields in this map.

Some people had a problem with the white textures being too bright. This is due to the Windows XP gamma fix. The issue was resolved in the sequel to this map, ctf_2becks.

Special thanks to [EVIL]XcyTng for making the beer pool textures and script, and to >DG<Blue, >DG<Kronik, >DG<Duffman, >DG<Swat, >DG<8one6, >DG<Flash, >DG<Matthew, >DG<Spider, >DG<Buffi, and >DG<SecretService for helping to beta test the map, and to Shafe for his beer color observation thingy.

Are you sure you're searching for EF1 and not EF2? (There's a dropbox below the search field to select, by default it's on EF2).

I can find the file just fine smile

It ought to be set to EF by default, since I'm sure the overwhelming amount of searches are for that.
