While in orbit something or someone has attacked and killed my crew. I am the only survivor on board the Enterprise. Who or what has done this? Why was I spared? And what awaits me on the planet surface?"

SpaceStation K7 is proud to announce the release of Act 1 of the single player modification for Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force entitled The Argas Effect. This is the first act of 3 in this modification for EF1 and is the first single player mod and first person shooter dedicated entirely to The Original Series. Explore the Enterprise and see familiar faces from the series.

Experience what it feels like to be Captain Kirk alone against an unknown danger. Make a difference....Solve the mystery.

What? Still there? Look, it's probably the best SP mod ever made on EF1... So? WHAT ARE YOU WAITING? DOWNLOAD!

How to install TOS Season 4: "The Argas Effect" - Act I

First of all you have to keep in mind that "The Argas Effect" is a single player modification for Raven Software's Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force, which implies that it runs on the MicrosoftÆ WindowsÆ platform exclusively. Linux and MacOS are NOT supported, as the single player source code compiles into Windows-specific "dynamic link libraries" (dll).

Before you proceed with the following steps, make sure that you have installed Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force and that it has been patched to the latest version, which is 1.2 at the time of writing this how-to-article. Notice for owners of the Expansion Pack: When you install the Add-On your game is automatically patched to version 1.2.

Ofcourse, to play Act I you need to have the Argas Effect teaser installed, which you can get at SpaceStation K7. And you must also download the TOS UNIFORMS PAK from K7 and place it in the TOS4-1 folder that the installation makes.

To begin the installation of the modification you have to launch the setup-application, which is included in the ZIP-archive you downloaded.

You'll be presented with a new window, where you have to select the Elite Force-installation directory, e.g. C:\Program File\Raven\Star Trek Voyager Elite Force\.
Click 'continue' and the copying of the mod-files will commence. Additionally an icon can be placed on your desktop, which can be used to start "The Argas Effect" launcher.

Congratulations, the modification has been installed and is ready to be launched.
